For your first game, it's pretty good and the environment and sound design are great. Just some general feedback and bugs I found:

- The AI gets stuck a lot so disabling some collisions for him could help.

- The sounds in the game are great but it does feel a bit janky, like the footsteps have a small delay before you hear the sound, and if you stop moving the audio cuts off.

- I think the monster audio should fade in and get louder as you get closer so it shows how near he is, also the audio is generally just super loud.

- When I died and returned to the menu my mouse was gone and I had to leave the game.

- A pause menu would be nice

-The instructions at the start were messy and disappeared before I could read it all, so I didn't know what I was doing for the first 10 minutes.

- The aspect ratio is a bit weird but that could just be me tbh.

-Every room and tunnel feels the same and it's easy to get lost. Perhaps adding some easy-to-memorise sort of scenery or even a map UI would be helpful.

That's all I could get from playing 15 mins of your game but it's a great start for your bright game dev journey. Also if I were you I would port this to mobile, it feels like it could work for this particular gameplay. Also maybe add a splash screen, it would be nice for you to credit yourself as a game dev.

I hope to see more from you!

Thanks for the feedback! If you now download and play the newest patch, the game should be a lot better and has considered most of the points you brought up.

I am aware of the dodgy aspect ratio so I'm trying to fix that asap

Thanks again for the feedback and for playing!
